Tesla was the Electric Jesus

There are only about six actual episodes, but Drunk History is pretty amazing and they should totally be making more. Drunk History is a series on YouTube that is exactly what it sound like. Derek Waters, the creator of the series, gets college students drunk and then has them discuss an historical event. While the poor drunkards discuss the event, we viewers get to see the event as acted out by celebrities, including such names as Will Ferrell as Abraham Lincoln, Jack Black as Ben Franklin, and child-like Michael Cera as Alexander Hamilton. And yes, that is John C. Reilly and Crispin Glover up there (Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison, respectively). There was even a Christmas special with Eva Mendes, Ryan Gosling, and Jim Carrey as Santa Claus.

Don't ask me how they managed to get these people to do these videos, but it is hilarious. The series has been absorbed by Funny or Die, but nothing has been released since December 2011 (the Christmas video). So, instead of telling you what happened, I will leave you with my personal favorite; Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison! Happy viewing!

Post Numero Uno: An Introduction

Hello readers!

Welcome to the Curio! This blog will consist of whatever I happen to find interesting/disturbing/odd/awesome. Anything, really. If there's something you'd like to see on here, please comment! I'll always try to read all the comments posted, but I can't promise that I'll reply to everything. I will set aside a post every now and again to address reader comments and questions, since I know all you people are interesting! Constructive criticism is very helpful and always welcome. That's it for now! Keep an eye out for my first 'official' post!

Keisha =)
